Consider the following before confirming TOIL

  • TOIL should be confirmed AFTER the week is complete. 
    • If hours are confirmed prior to this, the employee will not have all hours accounted for and at this point may have worked less than their contracted hours, giving them a negative TOIL balance.
  • Always refer to your company's TOIL policy/procedure
  • When taking TOIL leave, what does a TOIL day look like for an employee? Consider the following before approving;
    • The employee's Working Pattern
    • Leave Hours credited Per Day (employee profile > Leave)
