Pro Rata Annual Leave (Full-Time Employee)

Annual leave calculation for an employee who joins part way through year

The system uses the following calculation to pro-rata the annual leave entitlement for a full time employee who has joined part-way through the year.

(Full-time Annual leave allowance / 365 for non-leap year or 366 for leap year) * Number of days between start date to end of annual leave year

For example - If an employee who joins on 20th March on a non-leap year and has a full-time allowance of 24 days then the calculation will be 

24 / 365 * 287 = 18.871 rounded to the nearest half-day which would be 19 days
