How to set up 2fa for a staff member.

Once two-factor authentication (2FA) is activated in company settings, each staff member will need to create their one-time password.

Upon their next login, they will receive a prompt to set up their authenticator app.

If the staff member does not have an authenticator app one can be downloaded by following these steps:

  1. Log into https://my.hrduo.com/ with your email and password as normal. After logging in the staff member will be shown a QR code. 
  2. Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code shown on your screen.
  3. Once saved your authenticator app will display a unique code that will change every 30 seconds.
  4. Enter the temporary code into the field under the QR code in HR Duo and press submit code.
  5. You will be logged in as normal.
