How to set up 2fa for a staff member.
Once two-factor authentication (2FA) is activated in company settings, each staff member will need to create their one-time password.
Upon their next login, they will receive a prompt to set up their authenticator app.
If the staff member does not have an authenticator app one can be downloaded by following these steps:
- Open the app store on your phone.
- We recommend any of these trusted authenticator apps:
- Android: Google Authenticator. or Microsoft Authenticator
- iPhone: Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator
- Download and install your chosen authenticator app.
- Log into https://my.hrduo.com/ with your email and password as normal. After logging in the staff member will be shown a QR code.
- Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code shown on your screen.
- Once saved your authenticator app will display a unique code that will change every 30 seconds.
- Enter the temporary code into the field under the QR code in HR Duo and press submit code.
- You will be logged in as normal.
